An Ode to PIPERLIME.COM

THANK YOU, PIPERLIME.COM
for developing an ad campaign that I can really rally behind!

Their most recent advertisement totally sums up my fashion philosophy. I just wish I would have come up with something this witty first.

My good friend, Stephanie, left me this flyer that she got in the mail.
OK. IT'S TIME.
TIME TO LEAVE THE PAJAMA PANTS AT HOME AND THE FLIP-FLOPS AT THE BEACH.
IT'S TIME TO GIVE UP LAZY DRESSING ALTOGETHER BECAUSE IT'S TIME TO LOOK FABULOUS AGAIN.
PIPERLIME.COM LET'S GET DRESSED

LOVE IT!!

Fashionably Yours,

  2. I totally agree. Enough w the pj's in public, people! Piperlime is definitely playing on my (our) frustrations w the slackerosity of American style.

  4. Hi Gina!
I completely agree with this post. I hate when people go out in public dressed like they just crawled out of bed, off the beach or out of a nightclub. I'm not really into fashion, but I try to dress in a way that shows I have respect for myself. I could use your help though. I hate shopping. With children under two it's not fun. I want to dress nice but I need clothes that I can play with my toddler in, but also nurse my baby in. Also I don't really know what to do about maternity clothes. I hate spending money on them because I feel like a whale no matter what I wear and I am only going to wear them for 5 months (I thought I could rewear them the next pregnancy but it turns out that only works if you get pregnant during the same season). On top of the aforementioned mom fashion problems. I am abnormally tall and I try to follow the most recent guidelines on modesty given by the Vatican: high necklines, sleeves and bottoms that go below the knee. Also Padre Pio was so vehemently against women wearing pants that I try to avoid those too. So almost everyday I throw on a t-shirt and skirt. This is getting old. Do you have any ideas for me?
